PLC and Load Rack control panels are used to control and monitor the loading and offloading of trucks, rail cars, and marine barges at bulk petroleum facilities. The control panels are connected to field instrumentation and control devices to allow for metered loading compliant with Weights and Measures Canada regulations, and American Petroleum Institute guidelines. The panels act not only as local controls for a particular loading bay, but also as remote I/O for the Terminal Management System.
